Xbox Scarlett will arrive sometime in November 2020 thus giving us an idea of when Sony’s PS4 successor will launch.

There is a good possibility that both consoles will launch around the same time and probably in the span of a month from each other.

Sony has so far not shared any information regarding the launch of the PlayStation 5. In fact, they haven’t even given the time-frame for its release. However, the Xbox Scarlett will be launched by November 2020 and but naturally, the Sony PS5 is expected to release somewhere in the same time frame. Analysts have also been guessing the release of the PS5 based on the launch date of the Xbox but there are some claiming that Sony will wait until 2021 to launch the console.

Reports don’t explicitly state when the PS5 will be launched but considering that Scarlett will be introduced in November 2020, they posit that the PS5 should be announced at around the same time which isn’t very surprising.

A report by ComicBook states, “The PS4 and Xbox One released very closely to each other. The former arrive on November 15, 2013 -- in North America -- and then seven days latter hit on November 22. However, the PS3 and Xbox 360 released nowhere near each other. The latter arrived on November 22, 2005. Meanwhile, the former didn't arrive on the scene until a year later on November 17, 2006. In other words, there's precedence of the systems releasing very closely to each other, but there's always precedence -- slightly more removed precedence -- of both releasing nowhere near each other.”

With that being said, there is a good possibility that both consoles will launch around the same time and probably in the span of a month from each other. The only question remaining is that which console would launch first? To answer this, the report stets, “Well, who knows. I don't think either even have a date in mind. They may have a target, but the two certainly don't have a release date already planned out.”
