PV Sindhu gets knocked out of Hong Kong Open

Mumbai: PV Sindhu became the latest Indian to fall out of Korea Open as she lost to world No.18 Thai Busanan Ongbamrungphan.

Sindhu's poor run in form continued as she lost 18-21, 21-11, 16-21 to Ongbamrungphan in a battle that lasted more than an hour.

Kashyap too lost a tough battle against second-seeded Chou Tien Chen in a 21-12, 21-23, 10-21 match.

It has been a tough few months for PV Sindhu ever since she won the BWF World Championship. The rest of the Indian badminton players too haven't had a very good outing in the recently concluded events.

There still is good news for the Indian fans in Hong Kong Open as Kidambi Srikanth progressed to the quarter-finals of the ongoing Hong Kong Open after registering a win in the second round.
