Mumbai: With his maiden Test Double century, Rohit Sharma ensured that he cemented his place in the Test squad with three match winning knocks – 176, 127 and 212 – which guided India to a complete 3-0 white wash against South Africa. Furthermore, India’s clean sweep against the Proteas also ensured that they extended their World Test Championship points to 240 points.  

Rohit Sharma, who totally crushed South Africa with his maiden double ton, had also helped India to complete their first Test series whitewash against the Proteas. Following the hitman’s blistering knocks in the three match Test series, the 32-year-old was adjudged the Man of the Match in the third Test, and the Man of the Series for his exceptional performances.

During the three-match Test series, the 2019 World Cup’s highest run scorer also smashed various records to become the highest-scoring Indian batsmen in a Test series against South Africa. Hence, we shall take a look at the top five run-scorers of the recently concluded Test series.
