Mumbai: MS Dhoni's keeping skills never fail to grab the headlines. His accuracy and consistency in wicket-keeping put him in the league of one of the best wicket-keepers in the history of cricket.

One important aspect of MS Dhoni's wicket-keeping is his reaction time. Very often his reaction time is lesser than batting an eyelid.

Ahead of India's clash against Afghanistan, India's fielding coach has revealed the former skipper's routine which helps him to improve his accuracy and reflexes.

While speaking to a leading cricket portal, R Sridhar said that he asks the fielder to throw the ball at the plastic stump and the ball deviates which gives him an opportunity to catch it in the nick of the time.

“He does one drill. He just asks someone to throw the ball at a plastic spring stump, so the ball just deviates and he catches it as a nick. That is one drill he does before every game. Sometimes he might join slip catching, too,” revealed Sridhar.
