Mumbai: After 24 of the 48 ODI matches at the 2019 ICC Cricket World Cup 2019 have taken place, with four of them being washouts, former English batsman Kevin Pietersen has already declared the tournament to be boring.

In a recent tweet, Pietersen says the tournament needs some major upsets or thrilling last-minute finishes to be interesting.

While it is true that only four of the ten teams playing in the tournament are being taken seriously, and acknowledging the frustration caused by the cancellations and delays due to rain, it would still be an understatement to say the tournament has been boring.

There have been pretty thrilling games including Bangladesh beating West Indies and tournament favourites England being defeated by Pakistan. As a result, Kevin Pietersen got trolled for his take at the tournament.
