Pace ace Zaheer Khan prepared VN Sule for the quarters, while batting legend V. V. S. Laxman mentored St Marks Boys Town during a week-long unique training camp in Mumbai and Hyderabad, respectively in the build-up to the knockouts.

Man-of-the-match Rugved smashed three sixes and eight boundaries to get to an unbeaten 68 off 40 balls, while skipper Vedprakash smashed 53 off 40 to power VN Sule to 149/3 as they chased down St Marks’ total of 145/5 with 25 balls to spare. The pair put on a partnership of 103 runs for the third wicket.

St Marks’ Imam Shareef bagged two wickets for 33 runs, while Mirza Houseef Baig took one wicket for 27 runs.
