Mumbai: Steve Smith has perhaps been the most talked-about cricketer in the past month. It is his splendid performances on the cricket pitch which caught most people’s eyes. But, his art of leaving the ball has also been talked about.

Steve Smith was at it again on fourth day of the fourth Ashes Test. This time he hilariously pulled off a gag at the English players. On the first ball of the 28^th over, Stuart Broad bowled a full delivery to Smith, who was batting at 38 that time. Smith shuffled down the pitch to whip the ball on the on-side, but the ball took an inside-edge and rolled towards the stumps.

But Smith, who had no idea where the ball had gone, took a step further thinking that a run was possible. However, he soon realized that he was in trouble and had to get back to the crease. And while wicketkeeper Jonny Bairstow came steaming in trying to run Smith out, the Aussie cheekily held his bat up like an axe, almost challenging the Englishman to hit the stumps.

Bairstow obliged and he did hit the stumps, but by then, Smith had already made his ground - with a ridiculously animated stomp. However, once the bails came off, Smith once again trolled the English players and moved out of his crease, threatening to steal another run and while he was at it, he pulled off some quick dance moves with his feet.
