Energetic striker Delfiya Pereira did the star turn by scoring the all-important winning goal, which sealed Leaders FC’s triumph.

The Leaders FC players receive the trophy from Dr Cheryl Misquitta, president, Bandra Gymkhana.

Leaders Football Club emerged champions, winning the women’s crown in the 25th Bandra Gymkhana Open Rink Football Tournament.

A determined Leaders FC managed to overcome Bandra Packers by a narrow 1-0 margin, in a keenly contested final, which was played under floodlights at the DeMonte Park Recreational Ground, Bandra.

Energetic striker Delfiya Pereira did the star turn by scoring the all-important winning goal, which sealed Leaders FC’s triumph. Delfiya was later adjudged the Player of the tournament.

Later in the evening, Bandra Packers clinched the Men’s Veterans title, defeating strong challengers Ronnie-7 SC 4-2 in a pulsating final. 

The Bandra Packers outfit scored their goals through Roy Lewis, Ranzie Kalicharan, Clarie D. and Savio F., all scoring a goal each to secure their victory, while Ronnie-7 SC scored their goals through their prolific scorer Glen Moraes and Imran Salam.
