Mumbai: Tamil Nadu Premier League (TNPL) has brought a lot of surprises after Ravichandran Ashwin flummoxed a batsman by bowling with an unusual style. Earlier, in the 2019 Indian Premier League, Ravichandran Ashwin stunned the fans by slowing down and running out Jos Buttler after he moved out of his crease.

Before Ashwin completed his delivery, he ran out Buttler by lodging off the bails. Ashwin’s ‘mankading’ incident caused a massive stir as many fans and cricket experts termed his action as “unfair”.

Nevertheless, coming back to the TNPL, after Ashwin’s unusual bowling style went viral, Chennai Super Kings’ (CSK)s Murali Vijay decided to unveil his own set of tricks by batting left-handed.

Ashwin, who stunned the Chepauk Super Gillies’ batsman with his rare style of bowling last time, was taken back when Vijay turned a left-hander in the 16th over to chip in with a single with the help of a inside edge. Following the single, the right-handed batsman again tried to score another single.

However, the umpire declared that delivery as a no-ball along with a free hit. As soon as the umpire declared the deliver as no-ball, Murali Vijay instead of taking a single, chose to retain the strike as he returned to his original stance to hit a six on that delivery.
