So, my elder sisters Neeti, Kriti and Shakti have been my biggest strengths throughout my life. They have, however, also been the ones to tell me every now and then that I was adopted by my parents so that the three of them, the elder ‘Queen’ sisters of mine, could have a ‘ subject’ they could rule over. Many times, that’s what I am — their subject. This means that I have to answer the door, be the one to switch off the lights at night, get up to adjust fan speeds, am responsible for getting plates from the kitchen to them while they are all over the couch shooting orders at me. But they do love me way too much, and they shower me with so many gifts too, so all is well!

Neil Nitin Mukesh, actor My sister Neha has always been the biggest bully that I’ve ever faced in my entire life. She has me on tenterhooks all the time. Sometimes she’s really sweet as well, but there are many times where she’s not all that sweet. However, if anyone ever dares to say something nasty to me, he/she can consider themselves dead meat, courtesy my sister. She will bring everyone down with her pinkie if they dare say anything to me, my parents included. I love her.

Nindy Kaur, singer My brother Nav Singh is truly the coolest and craziest person alive! He’s always, always looking out for Manj and I. Since he is so involved in our lives, personally as well as professionally, we always discuss everything with him — our visions, music ideas and everything else that is part of the process — pretty much everything under the sun. After a few drinks, however, he tells us to do things we’ve already told him we were going to do! This happens all the time. A few drinks down and he tells us our own ideas as though they came out of his own head at that exact moment. And it’s so, so, so adorable to see it happen and have a good laugh about it. This is one of those things that never gets old, and is likely to be something we will always cherish as a common, hilarious memory.

Vrushika Mehta, actress My bond with my brother Bhoomil is a very unique one. Like so many brothers and sisters all over the world, we fight a lot and I get irritated with him a lot too. There are times when I’m home and keep telling him to go away from wherever I’m sitting. But what I love about him is that despite my behaving in all kinds of ways with him, if I ever need him to do something for me, he does it without even the slightest hesitation. If I’m tired after a long day at shoot, I know that he is around to make me lots of Maggi. And at such times, I genuinely feel that he’s so wonderful while I’m really not wonderful at all. This is one quality of his that is really adorable. It’s just the way he is, and I love him for it!

DJ Sartek, musician One of the most adorable and crazy qualities that I find in my sister is her excessive concern for others. Sometimes her concern for others goes to such a level that she doesn’t worry about getting into trouble herself for them. I keep teasing her for being just too good to people but I think feeling and getting into the emotions of a hurt one and explaining to them how to be positive about any situation is her way of displaying care and compassion. Another thing that I really like about her is her ever-lasting positive attitude no matter what the problem is.

Ssumier Pasricha, comedian My sister is a travel buff and likes to tag along wherever I go. Even if I want to go the market or a travel destination, it doesn’t make a difference — she has to be a part of the trip. This quality of hers is very adorable and annoying at the same time. Telling her any plan is like taking a huge risk. Also, what is interesting is she gets this habit from our mother. Apparently, she did with our naani what my sister does with me.

Bhaavna Arora, author If I were to sum up the craziness that my brother brings in my life, it would be this: Sneaking out of the house late at night for a party, saving each other’s arses from mum and dad, fighting over the blanket on a chilly evening, hiding bottles of beer, being your snooze button in the mornings, my brother is my heart and soul.

Faisal Khan, dancer and actor I have three sisters with whom I share a beautiful bond. Since they are all younger than I am, they are always doing a lot of masti all around the house, which is something I really enjoy watching. All three of them look so cute when they are running about the house with beaming smiles on their faces! That’s one habit of theirs that really lights up my day. I always pretend to be strict with them, and sometimes even pretend to get angry just to see their reaction! Whenever I do this, all three go completely silent and make a wary retreat. The expressions on their faces at such times is literally the most adorable sight in the world.

Girik Aman, singer My sister has a very weird way of expressing her love for all of us and especially her love for me. She will randomly come and tickle me when I am busy at work and start irritating me; it’s annoying at that particular moment but I miss it when she is not around.
