Gender roles assigned by society have long been reinforcing gender stereotypes hence proving to be obstacles for establishing gender equality in the society and even after women’s rights having come a long way, there are those who still have a deeply patriarchal mindset.

Social media bullying and trolling have been plaguing the digital space for the past few years, and women have mostly been found to be on the receiving end, with sexist comments being hurled at them. A notion that women belong in the kitchen is synonymous with misogyny in society.

Comedian and YouTube star Lilly Singh aka Superwoman has been shattering gender stereotypes for a while now and usually ignores trolls on her posts. But on seeing a misogynist comment by a man saying women are not funny and asking her to make a sandwich, Singh decided to hit back and she destroyed every sexist troll.

Singh went on to show the guy how to make a sandwich so he could do it himself, and started off by saying, “Please note that I am using fresh ingredients, to make up for your expired thought process,” which was only the first blow of many to come.
