Two youths killed as driver of dumper loses control

Two motorcycle-borne youths died in a fatal accident on JVLR on Friday, following which a dumper truck driver who lost control of his vehicle was arrested in connection with the incident. The accused driver was identified as Ravindra Singh Thakur, who was arrested on Friday evening.

According to police sources, the incident occurred around 2.30 pm when Thakur lost control of his vehicle after its brake failed and the steering also got locked. Thakur’s truck rammed into four vehicles one after the other.

The deceased have been identified as Jitendra Dodhiya (25) and Mithil Chavhan (27), according to a senior police inspector from the Aarey police station, under whose jurisdiction the incident took place.
