Teen girl gangraped by 4 youths, 2 arrested

A 17-year-old girl from Vasai in the district was allegedly gang-raped by four youths, the police said, on Monday. Two of the accused have been arrested and hunt is on to trace two others, police added.

“The incident occurred on July 6 evening after the four accused forcibly took the girl to a lodge in Vajreshwari in the neighbouring Thane district,” inspector Mahesh Patil of Waliv police station under Vasai division said.

At the lodge they forced her to consume beer and later took turns to rape her, police said, adding, “After the crime, they dropped the girl at her house at about 11 pm.
