The Bombay high court has asked the state to submit a status report on the state Anti Corruption Bureau (ACB)’s probe into alleged amassing of disproportionate assets worth crores by Congress leader and former minister of state for home, Kripashankar Singh.

The division bench of Justice Abhay Oka and Justice A.A. Sayed gave the order while hearing a plea filed by activist Tulsidas Nayar, a resident of Kalina, against Singh and his family for disproportionate assets. He alleged that Singh and his family members possess more than two PAN cards and unlicenced weapons. Claiming that the ACB did not probe the case properly, Mr Nayar demanded a CBI investigation. “We want to know what the ACB has done so far. Whether they have reached a conclusion or still carrying on with the investigation,” the bench said.
