A day after the Uri attack in which 18 soldiers were killed by four armed terrorists, the Shiv Sena lashed out at Prime Minister Narendra Modi saying it’s time India strikes back at Pakistan and eliminates terrorists the way US did.

Through an editorial in its mouthpiece Saamana, the Sena said that Pakistan has waged an open war against India with this attack and “our attempt to gather proof of its involvement will yield no result internationally.”

The Sena editorial said that the situation today was worse than what was during the Congress regime.

“At a time when pro-Pakistan sloganeering is on in Jammu and Kashmir and Pakistani flag is being hoisted there, the Centre should dissolve the state government and order Martial law there as President’s rule wouldn’t suffice. Pakistan has waged an open war against India, we cannot do anything except issue warnings. The probe into the Pathankot terror attack too did not result in any action against the country,” it said.

“Why are we searching for proofs of Pakistan’s involvement in this terror attack These proofs have no value at the International level. If you (Modi) do not have the courage to strike Pakistan like the US did to eliminate Osama bin Laden, there is no use of building an international image,” it added.

It further said that leaders of foreign nations would not do anything to help India over the issue and questioned that of Pakistan could use four terrorists to create wreck havoc here, why can India not use its security forces to strike Pakistan.

The Sena said that merely decorating the coffins of the martyred soldiers or accepting condolences from foreign nations would not be of any help but giving credence to the security forces is the need of the hour.
