The Pydhonie police is on the lookout for a 28-year-old youth who allegedly put up posters of a woman in the area where she lives under the label ‘call girl’. The victim had earlier rejected his proposal many times and in a fit of rage he had allegedly decided to defame her.

According to the police, Saturday morning everyone in the Pydhonie area woke up to see posters of the woman that claimed she was a call girl.

Stunned by the derogatory posters, the 27-year-old woman who had recently got married, went to the police station to lodge a complaint, along with her husband.

“During investigations, the woman told us that Govinda Matta (28) who was her childhood friend had been asking her since many years for her commitment and sexual favours. The woman rejected his offer and also severed ties with him.

She then got married to another man in the same area. Govinda had told her husband many bad things about her, but he had ignored it. A few days ago, Govinda once again asked the woman to have an extra-marital affair with him, which she rejected. Additionally, she slapped him. Angered by her refusals, Govinda printed posters of her which claimed she was a call girl all and put them up over her area Friday night,” said a police official.

The official further said, “We got confirmation that Govinda is behind this act through the printing shop. We arrested the shop owner who helped Govinda in the act. We have registered case against him for molestation and defamation. He is absconding, but we will arrest him soon.”
