‘Fit’ Dilip Kumar gets discharged from Lilavati

Veteran actor Dilip Kumar who was admitted at a Bandra hospital after complaints of chest pain and breathing problem was discharged on Thursday afternoon after almost a week. Doctors said that he is fit and stable. He was discharged around 11.55 am and was accompanied by wife Saira Banu and other family members.
Mr Kumar was admitted to Lilavati Hospital in suburban Bandra on 15 April because of high fever, chest infection and respiratory issues.
“He is fine. He is stable and normal now and so we have discharged him today,” Dr Jalil Parkar said, on Wednesday. The doctor also said that all the tests that were conducted on the veteran actor came out fine.
Wearing a light pink color kurta-pyjama, Mr Kumar came out on a wheel chair accompanied by wife Ms Banu around noon.
Earlier, doctors had said that he would be discharged on Wednesday evening but the family decided against it and postponed it till Thursday.
On Wednesday evening, Bollywood superstar Aamir Khan visited the actor at the hospital.
While on Monday, several veteran actors like Amitabh Bachchan and Rishi Kapoor tweeted about the actor’s good health.
