A special Maharashtra Control of Organised Crime Act (MCOCA) court on Friday discharged Abdul Siddibapa, an alleged senior member of Indian Mujahideen, for his alleged involvement in triple blasts in the city on July 13, 2011.

Special MCOCA judge V.V. Patil discharged Siddibapa on the request of the ATS. Special public prosecutor Ujjwal Nikam, on behalf of the ATS, had filed an application, requesting the court to discharge Siddibapa as they had found no evidence of his involvement in the blasts.

Siddibapa has a case pending in Delhi, and the court has directed the jail superintendent to arrange for him to be shifted to Rohini Central Prison, New Delhi.
