The Bombay high court on Monday posted on June 14 for hearing the PIL filed by ethical hacker Manish Bhangale alleging he is receiving threat calls. Mr Bhangale is also seeking a CBI probe into his allegations that Eknath Khadse, has resigned as revenue minister, has links with gangster Dawood Ibrahim.
Mr Bhangale, who filed the PIL on May 29 with the vacation bench of the high court, was redirected to the regular bench and has reportedly alleged that the call records from Dawood’s Karachi residence show he was in frequent touch with a specific mobile number registered in Mr Khadse’s name.
In his petition, Mr Bhangale alleges that though the Mumbai police has strong electronic evidence against Mr Khadse, no proper action has yet been taken against him.
The state’s Anti-Terror Squad is investigating the alleged calls to the former minister from Dawood.
