3 burglars held for stealing goods worth Rs 3 lakh

The Nirmal Nagar police on Wednesday arrested three burglars and solved a burglary within a few hours. The arrested accused includes two minors and the police has recovered stolen goods worth Rs 3 lakh from them.

The incident occurred on Tuesday night when the police were informed of a burglary in a house in Sai Krupa society located opposite Bandra court. The Nirmal Nagar police said that the burglars had broken into a house and made off with valuable worth over Rs 3 lakh. “The accused knew the area well and had knowledge that the residents of the house were not in town and hence they planned their burglary accordingly,” said a senior officer from the Nirmal Nagar police.

According to officials, the accused are repeat offenders and on the day of the incident waited till the girl, who was alone in the house, to leave for college early in the morning. “The accused made do with various valuables in the house including jewellery, gadgets, mobiles and also expensive watches. ,” he said.

One accused has been identified as Usman Sayyed (19) and names of the other two have been withheld.
