Model-actress Arshi Khan ran into trouble once again when two bikers snatched her mobile phone Sunday late evening while she was travelling in an auto. The incident occurred near Infinity Mall in suburban Malad and Ms Khan registered a complaint with the Bangur Nagar police station late night same day.

Recalling the incident, she said, “I was checking my emails on my Samsung S6 Edge phone when a motor bike-borne thief thrust his hand into the auto in which I was travelling and snatched the phone. Before I could react, the thieves had fled on the motorbike. They were riding a black colour Pulsar, and the pillion rider who snatched my phone was wearing dark coloured jeans and a grey-dark blue tee-shirt.”

Ms Khan, whose visa application was earlier rejected by the Pakistani government after a fatwa was issued against her for controversial remarks about cricketer Shahid Afridi, claimed that her phone had very important scanned documents. “I used the phone for online banking, credit card payments and all my passwords were stored on it. I am very scared that my bank account details, passwords and PIN codes will appear in the public domain. Several private photographs and videos too were saved on my phone,” she said.

The Bangur Nagar police has registered an FIR under Section 379 (robbery) and 34 (common intention) of IPC against two unknown persons. Ms Khan claimed to have identified the accused from a collection of photographs shown to her by the police. The police is on the lookout for the bikers.
