Mumbai: A man was booked on Monday for allegedly flashing some minor girls. According to Mumbra police, the accused Mohammad Ansari (50) flashed some girls between eight to nine years of age from the entrance of his residence on Sunday afternoon. This is the second such incident in the last five days. Few days ago, an auto rickshaw driver was arrested for masturbating in front of his passenger.
Among the three minors, two were nine year olds and one was an eight-year-old girl. According to officials, the accused is an unemployed man and is absconding ever since the FIR has been lodged.
“The 50-year-old opened his main door and flashed the girls. There were two to three minor girls present at the time of incident. The father of the minors has registered the complaint against him. A search for the accused is on and he will be nabbed soon,” said Shubhada Narkar, spokesperson of Thane Police.
The children had complained to their parents soon after the incident. Narkar added that a case has been registered against Ansari for stalking and other offences under relevant sections of the Indian Penal Code and the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act.
