Cama Estate witnesses fire, none injured

Mumbai: The spate of fire incidents continued in the city as a fire broke out at a commercial complex in Goregaon (east) on Saturday morning. While one person was injured, no other casualty was reported. The cause of the fire is yet to be ascertained.

According to fire officials, the blaze erupted around 8 am in Cama Industrial Estate located at Ghosalla Lane, Avasthi Compound in Goregaon and it rapidly spread to nearby shops. The firefighting operation was launched which was soon upgraded as level III call.

A civic official said, “There were workshops containing moulding machines, electric installations, wooden furniture, plastic and gas cylinders. It was the main cause behind the rapid spread of the fire.”
