Mumbai: Striking out at the state government over its ‘poor implementation’ of the farm loan waiver, Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) leader Supriya Sule has said her party was giving it ‘a 15-day deadline to end the mess’. Several farmers are still waiting for money to be transferred to their loan accounts.

“If you need help in implementation, we are ready to offer our expertise. But, if it doesn’t get done by 15 days, we will launch a state-wide protest,” warned Ms Sule. She demanded an inquiry into the Aadhaar numbers’ confusion, wherein several beneficiaries were shown having common Aadhaar cards.

Addressing the media in Mumbai on Thursday, the NCP MP criticised the state government for making the entire loan waiver process very complicated. “There was constant criticism about the online forms. Our leaders have been saying this. We have requested an offline system also. But, the state government didn’t listen,” said Ms Sule.
