We are proud of our Indian Air force.

Mumbai: The chief minister presented a congratulatory motion in the state Assembly. The central government’s decision to carry out a surgical strike on Pakistan was appreciated by the MLAs. The leader of the upper house and revenue minister Chandrakant Patil also tabled a congratulatory motion in the Council.

Members of the Lower House joined in when the Maharashtra chief minister presented the congratulatory motion in the Assembly on Tuesday. “We are proud of our Indian Air force. We will teach a lesson to each one who has an evil eye on the country,” Mr Fadnavis said. This was an emotional moment for both the benches — treasury and Opposition.

Both houses of the state legislature on Tuesday passed a unanimous resolution heartily congratulating the armed forces for the air strikes on terrorist camps across the line of control in Pakistan.

“Our armed forces did not allow the martyrdom of our jawans to go in vain. I am extremely proud of our armed forces,” said Mr Fadnavis while presenting the congratulatory motion. “Anyone casting an evil eye on our country will be given an apt answer by us. Everyone in the country is proud of our armed forces. Whenever the country is under crisis, we all make sure that we are standing together,” said NCP leader Ajit Pawar.

Congress MLA Naseem Khan said, “We have retaliated to the Pulwama attack with an apt and extremely  strong answer. Pakistan should now come to their senses otherwise they will be wiped off from the world map.”

Reacting to Tuesday’s air strikes Samajwadi Party leader and MLA  Abu Azmi said, “The strike carried out by our jawans have eased the pain and anger of every Indian in the country.”

Shiv Sena MLA Subhash Sabane said, “Now, every Indian will feel that he has a 56-inch chest.”

Leader of the Opposition in the Council, Dhananjay Munde seconded the congratulatory motion. Mr Munde said that the killing of around 300 terrorists and destruction of the launch pads of Jaish-e-Mohammad, Hizbul Mujahideen and Let were only a mere “trailer” and the complete “picture” would be released when the Indian forces decided to release it.
