Bombay high court

Mumbai: The Mumbai crime branch (CB) on Tuesday informed the Bombay high court that its probe revealed Sandeep alias Sunny Lohariya, the son of Navi Mumbai builder Sunil Lohariya who was murdered in February 2013, had not given a contract to kill the builder Jawahar Chelaram alias Suresh Bijlani. Bijlani was arrested in the murder of Lohariya

Bijlani had moved the court seeking a probe by the CBI or any other independent investigating agency in the case where Ichalkaranji police had arrested one Swapnil Fatale with illegal arms, cash and a photo of Bijlani. It was revealed that Fatale had taken a contract to kill Bijlani but the police did not register a case for conspiracy to murder but it only registered a case under Arms Act. Bijlani via his lawyer Aamir Shaikh and counsel Manoj Mohite filed a petition in the HC seeking probe by CBI to find if any contract to kill him has been given to anybody or not.

According to Shaikh, the petition was filed on the basis of reports that Manish Nagori, an accomplice of Fatale, after his arrest had told the police that Sunny Lohariya  had given contract to kill Bijlani.
