Truck driver burnt to death after collison

Mumbai: A container truck driver was burnt to death after his vehicle rammed into another heavy vehicle on Mumbai-Ahmedabad highway in Palghar district on Friday. “The accident took place at around 5.30 am. The container rammed into the heavy vehicle ahead of it. The container’s tyre bursts and it caught fire,” said the police.

A Palghar police officer said, “After the incident was reported, immediately a team of police and fire brigade officials reached the spot.” According to police officials, the deceased has been identified as Ganaji Pawar (40). The police had called container’s owner to verify the charred body of the driver, because his face was not recognisable.
