Mumbai: With no headway in the alleged suicide of Railway Protection Force  (RPF) personnel Dalvir Singh, the Mumbai Central Government Railway Police (GRP) has sought help from forensic experts and have sent the phone to Kalina Forensic Sciences Laboratory (FSL) seeking details of the current and deleted data in the phone. The officials are hoping to get leads in the alleged suicide case with the help of the forensic reports. “We procured the phone and have sent it to the FSL on Wednesday, asking it to retrieve data that might have been deleted by Singh in the past. We are pinning our hopes on the text messages and communications that would have taken place between Singh and others,” said a senior GRP officer.

The officials had found call details between Singh and one Neelam Kundu, one of his acquaintances who reside at their native place in Haryana. While the GRP has also recorded Kundu’s statement in the case, the investigation revealed that Singh had spoken to her for 75 minutes on March 4.
