48,570 students across state score above 90 per cent

Mumbai: Out of 17 lakh students in the state, around 48,570 secured above 90 per cent. Aboli Borse, a student from Balmohan school in Dadar, scored 97 per cent (481/500) and 19/25 in Culture to emerge as Mumbai’s topper.  

Borse had appeared for the Kathak exam from Akhil Bharatiya Gandharva Vidyalaya and received an A grade in her Drawing intermediate exam.

Talking to The Asian Age, Ms Borse said, “ I never thought that I would secure 100 per cent. It’s thanks to Kathak in the cultural category, which made me shine.”

She added, “I used to study three to four hours daily and practise dancing too.”

Ms Borse’s teacher, Vilas Parab, said, “As is the case every year, our students are shining. We are happy that out of the 81 students who appeared for the exams, 36 secured above 90 per cent.”
