A meeting regarding this was held on Tuesday between Chief minister Devendra Fadnavis and minister of international relations and La Francophonie of Quebec Provinces, Canada Christine St-Pierre.

“We have discussed the increased cooperation in artificial intelligence, and other port led development. Maharashtra is already the first state to lunch a FinTech Policy and we have now decided to set up this AI institute,” Mr Fadnavis said after the meeting.

The government has planned a programme on artificial intelligence during the three-day long international summit, where experts and industrialists are expected to discuss business opportunities, job creation and use of technology in the different sectors.
