Mumbai: In light of Sujay Vikhe-Patil joining the BJP, the Shiv Sena has offered Leader of the Opposition Radhakris-hna Vikhe-Patil a cha-nce to join the Sena. Shiv Sena spokesperson Sanjay Raut said that he was inviting Radhakrishna Vikhe-Patil to join the Sena. Meanwhile, NCP said that there was no surprise over Sujay Vikhe-Patil joining the BJP. NCP spokesperson Nawab Malik said that Rajmata Vijaya Raje Scindia was in the BJP while Madhavrao Scindia was in the Congress. Vasundhara Raje was chief minister of Rajasthan while her nephew Jyotiradi-tya Scindia was a Congress leader. He said, “If the son of Radhakrishna Vikhe-Patil goes to the BJP, it should not be looked at differently.” Radhakris-hna Vikhe-Patil was a Sena minister in the past.

Mr Raut said, “Radhakrishna Vikhe-Patil should join the Sena and make our alliance (with the BJP) stronger. Both he and his father were ministers in the Sena government. It is good if the third generation of the family is also a part of the alliance."

Mr Malik said that Mr Sujay was indicating that he wanted to contest the election. He had also given an indication that he would contest the election on a BJP ticket.
