City cops to monitor traffic congestion spots

The traffic police will be keeping a close eye on these spots, which also happen to be places where the Metro construction is underway.

Mumbai: The Mumbai traffic police has identified a few stretches that see several traffic violations from time to time.

These include the S.V. Road stretch from Malad to Khar and the Linking Road area in Malad and Jogeshwari, among others.

With a view to curbing such violations, traffic police will be deployed in these areas during peak hours to control traffic.

Some of the traffic congestion spots identified include: Hindmata, Khodadad Circle (Dadar T.T.), Wadala Bridge, Rani Laxmibai Chowk (Sion station), Kherwadi Junction (Kalanagar), Suman Nagar Junction, Jijamata Bhosale Marg Junction, Datta Samant Chowk (Saki Naka) and Hiranandani (Powai).

The traffic police will be keeping a close eye on these spots, which also happen to be places where the Metro construction is underway.
