BJP leaders seek ban on Padmavati

Mangal Prabhat Lodha has written a letter and also spoken to chief minister Devendra Fadnavis and asked him to ban the movie.

Mumbai: Controversy is going on against Director Sanjay Leela Bhansali’ s  movie Padmavati which is hurting sentiments of people, especially from Rajastan. Now BJP MLAs Mangal Prabhat Lodha and Raj Purohit are making demands for banning the movie.

MLA Mangal Prabhat  Lodha has written a letter and also spoken to chief minister Devendra Fadnavis and asked him to ban the movie. MLA Raj Purohit has approached Union Information and broadcasting minister Smruti Irani and demanded to ban the movie.

They have shown many distorted things in the movie and presented historical things wrongly which are damaging to the image of The Great Queen Padmavati. Filmmakers don’t have right to hurt sentiments of people under right of expression, asserted Mla Lodha. The state government is analysing the things and will take necessary steps, he added.
