Mumbai: Sending out a strong message, the Mira Bhayandar Municipal Corporation (MBMC) registered a FIR against the owner of a Mumbai-based security guards recruitment agency for nailing posters to trees in the twin-city.

Based on a complaint registered by ward officer Govind Parab, the Bhayandar police officials registered a FIR under the relevant sections of the Mahara-shtra Prevention of Defacement of Property Act, 1995 against Ravi Pandey of Bharat Secu-rity Group. Apart from monetary fines, those convictedcould face three months in jail.

The MBMC had passed a resolution to roll-back the system of giving permissions for putting up temporary flex bann-ers and hoardings across the twin-city from October 1.
