Kolkata: Rose Valley Group owner Goutam Kundu has been admitted to SSKM Hospital after he complained of ill-health Tuesday while being in the judicial custody.

The development came at a time when the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) is preparing to take him in its custody for interrogation in the chit fund scam case.

Mr Kundu was admitted to the government-run superspeciality hospital on Tuesday morning, sources said.

Hours before Mr Kundu was scheduled to be produced at the Bankshall Court for the hearing in Rose Valley chit fund scam, he complained of chest pain and high blood pressure.

He was rushed to SSKM where he was attended to by a group of doctors. His condition is stable now, a senior hospital official said in the evening.

As a result, Mr Kundu could not be produced before the court during the day. He has been lodged in the judicial custody after being arrested by the Enforcement Directorate and was also chargesheeted by it earlier.
