Eight IPS officers transferred in reshuffle

Nilanjan Biswas who was posted as AIG (Security) at the directorate of security replaced Mr Khalid as the DC (South West).

Meeraj Khalid who was the DC (South West) has been made DC (South). Debashish Sarkar has been made the DC(North). He was earlier DC (Enforcement Branch).

Kolkata: In a major reshuffle eight IPS officers in the rank of deputy commissioner (DC) have been transferred by the state government. Most of the transfers took place in the Kolkata police. Shubhankar Sinha Sarkar who was the DC (North) has been appointed as DC (Central).

Meeraj Khalid who was the DC (South West) has been made DC (South). Debashish Sarkar has been made the DC(North). He was earlier DC (Enforcement Branch).

Nilanjan Biswas who was posted as AIG (Security) at the directorate of security replaced Mr Khalid as the DC (South West). Rupesh Kumar has been appointed as DC (East). He was earlier DC (South Suburban).

Nimbalkar Santosh Uttamrao was transferred to the post of DC(South Suburban) from DC (2nd Battalion) of the Kolkata Armed Police (KAP). Bishwajit Ghosh replaced Mr Sarkar as DC (Enforcement Branch). He was earlier DC (Reserve Force).

Saumya Roy has been appointed as the DC (Reserve Force).
