Five die as car rams into tree in Maharashtra's Palghar

Palghar (Maharashtra): Five people lost their lives after a car rammed into a tree in Palghar, near Patilwadi, early on Wednesday morning.

The Volkswagen Vento car was on the way to Palghar from Mahim village when the driver lost control of his vehicle and it crashed into a tree, said a police official.

The incident happened around 4 am.

The bodies were severely damaged and efforts are on to recover them.

The five bodies were sent to a government hospital in Palghar for postmortem, a police official informed.

Out of the five, three have been identified.
