Delhi University special drive for reserved categories

New Delhi: The Delhi University (DU) which got over with the admissions for the undergraduate courses under the seventh cut off list on Friday is all set to begin with a special admissions drive for the reserved categories including sports/ECA from July 31.

“DU had announced the special drive for reserved/quota applicant category (SC/ST/OBC/PWD/CW/KM) including sports/ECA for admissions to UG courses. Under this drive only such candidates would be considered for admission who are registered with DU, but are not admitted in any other college irrespective of the category under any cut-off list,” an official statement said. It is to be noted that no fresh registrations will be allowed in the special drive.

However, only corrections related to the category changes would be allowed in the registration forms, from unreserved to any reserved category, subject to verification of original certificates. “The sports category applicants who are not admitted in any college, their request for modification in courses in sports/ECA admission shall be permitted,” the statement added. While the eighth cut off for the special category will be declared on August 3 and the admission process will continue till August 4.
