New Delhi: In a bid to bring the quality of research in line with global standards, Delhi University is planning to set up a digital resource library.

This library or resource centre will be especially set up for researchers where the research will be available to those who open an account. They will then be able to store data of their research in that account.

In order to promote research at every level, DU has prepared a draft which includes various points about introducing research at international level.

“The draft is prepared by DU in an effort to enhance the quality of research at a global level. This account of the researcher would be similar to a bank account that will be accessible from any corner of the world. Looking at the increasing impact of digitisation at all levels, the varsity has planned to establish a digital library,” a DU official said.

In addition, the university is planning to set up industrial communication cell as well.

“The cell will work to promote dialogue between industry and academia, leading to an increase of cooperation and partnership between the industries,” the official added.
