New Delhi: A career counsellor was in for a double whammy when she found her car stolen and was later robbed by a bike-borne assailant in Chittaranjan Park area while searching for the same.

The incident took place on August 24 when the 30-year-old woman woke up to find her car missing from the parking area. She had parked her car behind her rented house in K Block in Chittaranjan Park area.

“When I went to my parking spot, I could not find my car. Though reasonably certain that I had parked it there, I decided to look around to ensure that it had not been towed away by the police. I did not find it anywhere and started walking towards my house,” said the victim.

“A young biker came from behind and tried to snatch my bag. I resisted, but he managed to take it away,” said the victim. She kept chasing the man until she found two policemen on a motorcycle.

“When I told them what had happened to me, they said they would give him a chase. How-ever, they returned empty handed,” she added.
