Delhi University colleges announce first cut-off

NEW DELHI: Almost every college of Delhi University (DU) released the first cut-off list for admission to undergraduate courses on Thursday. For B.Com. (Hons) course in Shri Ram College of Commerce or SRCC, general category students would need 98.5 per cent marks which saw an increase of .75 per cent from last year. The cut-off has, however, remained the same for admission to B.A. Economics (Hons) at 98.75 per cent.

In Kirori Mal College, cut-off for B.A. English (Hons) was 97 per cent, BA Economics (Hons) 98.25 per cent and B.Com (Hons) is 98.5 per cent.

Hansraj College has increased marginally, of .5 per cent, in few programmes including BA Economics (Hons). Here, general candidates will need 97.25 per cent for BA English (Hons) and 98.5 per cent for BA Economics (Hons). For B.Com, 98.25 per cent is the cut-off.

A cumulative list indicating the minimum marks needed to get admission in various courses of all colleges has been posted on the university website du.ac.in. Depending on the availability of seats after the first list, the university colleges issue second and, where needed, third cut-off lists.

Bhagini Nivedita is one college which is kind to students who have not scored above 90 per cent marks. The highest cut-off in Bhagini Nivedita has been set for B.Sc. (Hons) Physics at 90 per cent for general category candidates.

Cut off for B.Sc. Home Science (Hons) is 85 per cent, for B.com is 84 (Hons), for BA Political Science (Hons), it is 79 per cent. Cut-off for B.Sc. Physical Science (Chemistry) and B.Sc. Physical Science (Computer Science) is 78 per cent. Cut off for BA (Hons) History is 75 per cent and for BA (Hons) Hindi and BA Programme is 72 per cent.

St. Stephens College has released its first cut-off two days earlier, while Keshav Mahavidyalaya released its cut-off on Wednesday.

The cut-off for BA Economics (Hons.) and B.Com (Hons.) were 98% while cut-off for BA (Hons) English, BA Political Science (Hons), BSc Physics and Mathematics (Hons) were 97 per cent in Ramjas College.

The cut-offs for JMC were 96 per cent for B. Com (Hons) while BA Economics (Hons) 98.25 per cent, 98.5 per cent in Political science (Hons) and 97 per cent in BA English (Hons).
