Dwarka police arrests 3 burglars, solve four cases

In two separate incidents, the Dwakra district police arrested three burglars and claimed to solve four cases on Sunday.

New Delhi: In two separate incidents, the Dwakra district police arrested three burglars and claimed to solve four cases on Sunday.

During patrolling in the area of Chhawla, staff received an information regarding movement of one burglar, involved in various burglary and theft cases. Subsequently a trap was laid and Nikhil (29) was apprehended, DCP (Dwarka) Anto Alph-onse said.

During interrogation, Nikhil disclosed that he has committed many thefts in Chhawla area and accepted his involvement in 17 cases, in which investigation is still pending in various police stations. Police recovered two smart phones from his possession.

The accused was recently divorced and have a daughter. He is employed in MCD as a Safai Kara-mchari on contract. His income was not enough to cater with his need for drugs and liquor so he jumped into crime world.

In second case, a tip-off was received and a trap was laid and Suraj (20), and Mohit (18), were arrested after a long chase in which constable Pradeep was injured but managed to nab them. One laptop and three smart mobile phones were recovered from their possession. Suraj disclosed that he is active in crime world since 2014 when he was a juvenile.
