New Delhi: With the clean sweep in the MCD elections by the BJP, the Resident Welfare Association (RWAs) joined their celebrations and expressed their support for the party to fulfil the promises made by the candidates in uplifting their respective wards.

Karol Bagh RWA United Residents Joint Action said that this is the right time for the ruling BJP in the Centre and in the three municipal corporations to finally put in place a collaborative structure, where the civic authorities work in tandem with the RWA to ensure that the promises regarding, Swachchh Bharat, lighting and primary healthcare are rapidly made available to the citizens of Delhi.

Elated over the win, president of East Delhi RWA Joint Front Federation B.S. Vohra said that they all were confident about BJP winning the polls. “We want our newly elected councillor Sandeep Kapoor to address the anti-encroachment drive on priority-basis among others like resurfacing of bylanes and cleanliness. We are happy that he has won and we have full confidence on him, ” he said. Taking a dig at the AAP, Mr. Vohra added, “Agar aap kisi position ke lie khade horae hai to apko phele kuch kaam karna chaie tha. (You need to reach out to the public instead of just criticising the Modi government.

If AAP does better in these three years then there are chances that their prospects get better, but only if they don’t do tall claims.
