New Delhi: In a shocking incident, a 48-year-old Sanskrit teacher was arrested for allegedly forcing a student to have oral sex in Northwest Delhi’s Sawroop Nagar area.

The accused teacher, Balmukund, has been remanded to judicial custody. He was arrested on Saturday following a case under relevant Sections, including POCSO Act, was registered against him. The police has made the student the complainant in the matter.

The accused is a teacher of a government school in Burari area. He used to call students to his home on the pretext of providing tuition, where he committed the crime.

According to information, Balmukund lives in Nathupura area with his family. During the summer holidays, two students of Class 9 went to his house to study Sanskrit. In June, when both the students went to his house, there was no one else there. Leaving one of the students in the hall, he went to a room with the other student and started sexually assaulting her.

Meanwhile, the student in the hall made a video of the act through the window with his mobile phone. In July, the student gave the video to an NGO. However, instead of giving the video to the police, the NGO demanded Rs 20 lakh from the accused teacher threatening him of otherwise making the video viral.

When Balmukund refused, the NGO made the video viral.
