Delhi: Stab victim asked for help, but people shot videos

New Delhi: A man was brutally stabbed repeatedly in broad daylight on Tuesday in West Delhiā€™s Khayala area allegedly over a financial row. The assailants escaped from the scene after attacking the deceased, who on Wednesday succumbed to injuries. What came as a rude shock was while the victim was pleading for help, passersby chose to remain mute spectators and instead shot a video of the injured.

According to the police, two persons have been arrested in this connection. The arrested have been identified as Mohammed Shubhan and Mohammed Afzal. The accused were known to the deceased. Deceased Akbar Ali, a resident of Vishnu Garden, was a mechanic. He was a habitual offender and had cases of eve teasing and snatching registered against him. The incident took place on Tuesday in Khayala where Akbar got involved in a verbal duel with Shubhan and Afzal following which, in a fit of rage, the duo attacked Akbar and allegedly stabbed him.
