One hurt in road rage case, 3 held

New Delhi: In a road rage case, a 19-year-old youth’s car was hit from the rear by another car and three men allegedly assaulted him. The incident took place on Thursday night in East Delhi’s Vivek Vihar area.

According to the police, the impact of the collision was such that the victim identified as Garvit Chawla sustained minor injuries and when he stopped the three men travelling in a Duster car, they first tried to run over him and later assaulted him. Police said that the three men were returning from a party and were under the influence of alcohol.

The police has arrested the three men in this connection. One of the accused, Gaurav, an interior designer was arrested by the police on Thursday night. The two others identified as Aditya, a building contractor and Uday, unemployed, managed to run away and were arrested on Friday.

During interrogation, the accused told the police that they were returning home from a party at a nightclub in Vivek Vihar.
