In police reshuffle, 12 DCPs shifted

New Delhi: In a major reshuffle in Delhi Police, 12 deputy commissioners of police (DCPs) were transferred on Monday.

DCP Rohini district, Rishi Pal, who reportedly failed to prevent a shootout inside the Rohini Court Complex has been transferred as DCP, Special Branch.

Police commissioner Amulya Patnaik shifted the police officers.

Police sources confirmed Mr Pal was transferred because he failed to prevent the shootout.

Romil Baaniya, DCP, south-east has been transferred as DCP, South. Ishwar Singh, who served the DCP, South, has now been transferred as the DCP, Traffic.

Chinmay Biswal, posted as additional DCP, South will now be transferred and posted as DCP, south-east. Additional DCP, North-West Vijayanta Arya will take over from Mr Biswal. Shibesh Singh, who was recently posted as DCP, South-West, will now be posted as DCP, Dwarka.

Meanwhile, Rajneesh Gupta, posted as DCP, Special Branch will now take over as the DCP, Rohini. Vichitra Veer, posted as additional DCP-2 South-west has been transferred as additional DCP-2 Dwarka. AK Lall posted as additional DCP, Shahdara district has alaso been transferred.
