Delhi: Livewire kills youth, kin block main road

New Delhi: In a tragic incident, a national-level body builder, who was also a BJP worker, died due to electrocution in Delhi’s Aman Vihar’s Kirari area after he accidentally came in contact with a live wire. According to the police, Love Kumar, 26, the body-builder, was scheduled to get married after two months. The incident took place on Friday evening.

Investigation reveals that Love Kumar, a resident of Aman Vihar in Outer Delhi, was talking over phone when the incident took place. He was talking to someone when he climbed the terrace of his father’s jewellery shop. He was talking on the phone when he came in contact with a 11,000 watt live wire and got electrocuted. 

The incident came to light when the neighbours heard loud cries of Kumar and rushed for his rescue. He was rushed to a hospital where he was declared brought dead. Infuriated over the the incident, the parents and relatives of love Kumar staged a protest on the road with the dead body and raised slogans against TPDDL (Tata Power Delhi Distribution Limited).
