Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal.

New Delhi: Leader of the House in North Delhi Municipal Corporation Jayender Dabas on Monday met officials of the Delhi government’s department of social welfare and apprised them that he wrote a letter to chief minister Arvind Kejriwal on November 3 regarding issues related to the pensions of senior citizens, widows and handicapped persons.

Mr Dabas claimed that chief minister’s office  (CMO) directed the department to provide action taken report (ATR) to him, but he has not received any information from the department till date.

“Eight months have lapsed since he wrote a letter to Mr Kejriwal on pension-related issues of senior citizens. It was quite unfortunate that the government has done  in the matter so far,” said Mr Dabas.

The NDMC provided the data of pensioners to Delhi government and still nothing has been done by the government,” he said.

According to Mr Dabas, the officials did not give a satisfactory answer during the meeting. “During the Assembly elections, the Aam Aadmi Party said they will work for citizens of Delhi and made other promises, but they are yet to fufill their them.”
