Foreign national found dead on road, cops hunt for clues

New Delhi: The body of a foreign national was found on the Mehrauli-Gurgaon road in the national capital on Monday morning. Some people commuting through the road spotted the body and later informed the police about the same.

Following this, police personnel reached the spot and initiated the proceedings to ascertain the identity of the deceased. It is believed that the deceased was of African origin. However, it is yet to be ascertained whether the man was murdered or met with an accident on the road. After the initial investigation, senior police officials said that there were no injury marks on the body of the deceased. The body has been sent for post-mortem.

The police department is in touch with the embassy officials in a bid to ascertain the identity of the man.
